During the transition, only some help is available online. If you can't find what you need, click Help > Contents in the Windows® version of ACS.
Enhancements
File Payroll Tax Forms Electronically
Since many states now require electronic filing for tax forms, we've added this functionality to the Payroll and Accounts Payable modules. Electronic filing makes it easier to comply with IRS regulations, saves you time, and is good for the environment.
After creating an account for e-filing, you can electronically file Forms 1099, W-2, and 941 (you must request and receive a PIN to electronically sign the 941). To electronically file, simply complete your tax forms in ACS, then click Tax E-File. You can still print copies of these forms for your records.

Viewing Pledge Gifts in Inquiry by Individual
On the Pledge tab in Contributions- Inquiry by Individual, you can now view gifts applied to a pledge. When you select a pledge and click View Gifts, the pledge's information and a list of applied gifts display. You can also attach and remove gifts in this window.
Flagging Gifts as Future Pledge Payments Before Entering Pledges
When adding transactions in Contributions, you can now flag gifts as future pledge payments without having to enter a pledge first.
This is helpful if a contributor gives more than their pledge balance and wants to apply the overpayment as a prepayment to next year's pledge. However, the contributor has not filled out a pledge card yet, so you cannot enter the pledge into ACS.
To flag the gift as a future pledge payment, select Prepay in the Pledge column when allocating the gift towards a fund. The gift displays as a non-pledge gift on reports and statements, and when you enter a pledge, ACS applies the gift toward it.

Printing Additional Payroll Deductions on Overflow Checks
On the Posting tab in Payroll Setup, you can now select to print additional deductions on overflow checks. When selected, if the Deductions/Contributions area of the stub exceeds 11 lines, a second check (or plain paper) prints. This option lets your employees see detailed information for each deduction, and the stub and check amounts on the additional check are marked as void.
In addition, if you select this option, the check range displays in the Summary section of the Payroll Journal and when printing payroll checks.

When printing the Deposit Ticket Listing or Weekly Register, you can now exclude voided transactions.

Selecting a Default Payment Type in Contributions Setup
On the Configuration tab in Contributions Setup, you can select a default payment type when entering contributions. For example, you may want all donations to have the payment type of Cash, unless you enter a reference number.
The default payment type is saved per user, so one ACS user in your organization can have it set to cash, while another could have it set to check if he or she primarily scans checks.

Printing Contributions Reports by Batch Number
You can now print the Weekly Register, Deposit Ticket Listing, or Contributions Receipts by batch number. This is helpful if you post more than one batch with the same posting date per day and use the date as the deposit reference number.

Easily Track Applied Pledge Gifts with the Pledge Giving History Report
The new Pledge Giving History report in Contributions Lists displays all pledges for a specific date range, along with the gifts applied to those pledges, so you can track regular, arrears, and future gifts toward pledges. You can also print the report by post date to see applied payments as of a particular date, and you can filter on prepayments and arrears payments. Prior to ACS 11.0, the Monthly Posting Register broke down giving by year, and this report replaces that.

Export ACS Data to PhoneTree® VoiceWave™
Now, you can export your ACS data to PhoneTree's newest message-delivery software, VoiceWave. In addition to phone and e-mail messages, you can send mass text messages. Create Parent Badges for both Morning and Afternoon Sessions
A mother attends the early service with one of her sons. Her husband attends the afternoon service with the other son. Which parent gets the parent badge? Now they both do, making your campus an even safer place for families to serve and worship.
Multiple ACS users can process Accounts Payable Check Runs
Now, multiple ACS users within your organization can process a check run at the same time. This makes paying bills easier since other users do not have to be out of Print/Post Checks.
Editing general fields on posted Accounts Payable invoices
You can now edit general fields on posted Accounts Payable invoices so that you do not have to void them and re-enter the information. You can update the invoice number, due date, month and year, invoice description, invoice date, project code, comment, and 1099 box fields.

Editing general fields on posted General Ledger transactions
You can now edit general fields on posted General Ledger transactions so that you do not have to void them and re-enter the information.
If a transaction has been posted, you can edit the date, reference number, explanation, posting month, project code, and comment. Remember, you can only edit transactions you posted, unless you have rights to Edit All Users Transactions in Add/Edit Users.
Saved funds and date ranges when entering pledges
When entering pledges in ACS Contributions, the fund and date ranges are now saved until you close the window or change the dates or fund. This saves you time when entering multiple pledges because you do not have to reenter the dates or select the fund each time.
