Membership Plus provides different Contribution Receipt reports to choose from. You can easily generate IRS or Canada Revenue Agency compliant receipts for your members based on their contribution information that has been entered into the program.

All of the Contribution Receipt reports give you the ability to:

  • Only print receipts for members whose contributions during the date range totaled at least ($)
  • Include only Tax Deductible contributions
  • Include all contributions
  • Filter by Group or Status information
  • Format the address to print in an envelope window

Review the available contribution statements Membership Plus has to offer and the information they display to decide which one is best for your organization.

Charitable Contributions Report (Preprinted)

Membership Plus offers a professional looking preprinted form to use when creating year end contribution statements for your members. This preprinted form meets all IRS reporting requirements. It also includes the required statement, "Unless otherwise noted, the only goods and services provided are intangible religious benefits."

Contribution Statement Detail

This statement includes each contribution entered for the selected member within the date range used to print the statement. The detail for each contribution includes, Date, Total Contribution Amount, Currency Type, Check #, Fund, Amount (this is the amount posted to each fund for this contribution), Deductible (indicates if the contribution is marked as Tax Deductible).  At the bottom of the statement summary information for Total Contributions, Tax Deductible Contributions, and Non Tax Deductible Contributions displays. The Contribution Statement Detail includes an Authorize Signature line and the statement, "No goods or services were provided in exchange for these contributions".

Contribution Statement Summary

This statement contains summary information for Total ContributionsTax Deductible Contributions, and Non Tax Deductible Contributions. You will not see the detail on each contribution that was entered for the member.  The Contribution Statement Summary includes an Authorize Signature line and the statement, "No goods or services were provided in exchange for these contributions".

Contribution Statement with Pledge Variance

The statement contains detailed information for each contribution entered for the member. The detail includes Date, Fund, Amount, Deductible (indicates if the contribution is marked as Tax Deductible), and Check #. At the bottom of the statement there is a summary of the amount contributed, the pledge amount, and the difference between these figures. The Contribution Statement with Pledge Variance also includes an Authorize Signature line and the statement, "No goods or services were provided in exchange for these contributions".

Canadian Tax Receipt & Canadian Tax Receipt Summary

The Canadian Statements meet all Canada Revenue Agency requirements. They contain required information such as, Receipt #, Date receipt issued, and the Organization Charity BN/Registration #. They also include the statement, "Official Donation Receipt for Income Tax Purposes". The Canadian Tax Receipt displays detail information for each contribution entered for the member as well as summary information for each contribution fund.  The Canadian Tax Receipt Summary includes the summary information for each contribution fund.

How


 To print contribution statements
  1. In Membership Plus click Reports.
  2. Select Report Generator.
  3. Double click Contribution Reports.
  4. Double click Receipts and Statements
  5. Highlight a statement you wish to preview.
  6. Select the appropriate information on the Options tab.
  7. Select the Filter/Sort tab to enter any filter information.  See Knowledge Base Article 21842 , How to Create Filter for Reports for more information about filters.
  8. Select the Format tab and select the appropriate information.
  9. On the Preview tab enter the appropriate date range and click Preview.
