I'm a technical writer at ACS Technologies, where I document for our OnDemand product line. I live in Southern West Virginia with my 8-year-old son and a small Chi-weenie (a cross between a dachshund and a chihuahua) in a hoodie named Oscar.

I'm a bit of a magpie, as I love bright, shiny, happy things. I dabble in amateur photography when I'm not reading, camping, or teaching workforce development classes at the local community college. Ever the eternal student, I am currently working towards my Masters in Library & Information Science at the University of South Carolina. I'm a bookish sort, and a die-hard Joss Whedon fan. (Long live Firefly/Serenity!!) My goal in life is to make someone else smile, so those goofy references to nerdy things in the documentation... Yep. Those are me. I hope they make you grin while you're working hard ministering to the needs of others.

    Jamie,

I did smile about the Firefly comments as it happens! =)

    Anyway...

I don't know how to (or even if there's a way to) leave a comment on a page that doesn't have an "Add Comment" button, like the one I was reading just now, regarding Multiple Datasets in OnDemand:

    http://wiki.acstechnologies.com/display/OnDemand/Multiple+People+Datasets+Now+Available

    That page states that:

    Note
The new dataset is only available to the OnDemand user who is making the change.

We never actually used the "Multiple Datasets" feature in our local installation before moving instead to an OnDemand installation -- which we did a few years ago just after I came onboard as staff. Now that it's available in OnDemand as well, I was wondering about it.

Unfortunately, I don't know whether your note on that page means that only the user creating the dataset will ever be able to select it, or instead merely that any other users' views will not be automatically affected by changing the dataset, even though they too can select the new dataset individually when necessary. -- I hope it's the latter, otherwise the feature would only be useful for VERY limited purposes. Can you tell me if it's the former situation or the latter? Thanks!

Anyway... Sorry to put this question here since I'm sure it belongs elsewhere... but as I said, I couldn't figure out how to leave a comment on the documentation page itself... and I figured I would do as well to talk to the document author as anything else to get the question answered clearly.

Thanks for any clarification you can provide!

P.S. The pictures on this page are nice (the dog is cute, I like the bottles picture, and the "books" one is the best), but they sure do make leaving a comment hard -- since they keep moving the content editor up and down! ... Just FYI.

It's always good to meet another Firefly fan, James. Browncoats Unite! (smile) Thanks for the heads up. That section did need further clarification. I've made some changes to the page and made it easier for our clients to comment on the pages in the OnDemand space. I'm going to adjust those pictures to make the commenting process here easier as well - it's definitely a bit unsettling. I hope this helps and you have a great day!

        Thank you, Jamie!

I believe that does make it better in terms of its clarity.

(The pictures definitely work better this way too, IMHO. =)

Hi - just wondering if you have release notes for the HM version being released on 07.16.12? the 11.2 on the wiki seems to be for the last release. We are very excited for online payments! Just trying to understand what the options will be etc and see what other enhancements/issues are coming in a few weeks.

    thanks! Site 328069
