Released December 2018
We recommend updating to 126.96.36.199, which offers enhancements in the following areas:
Online, Mobile, and Text Giving with Abundant
Abundant, our newest eGiving solution, features mobile, text, and online giving. It integrates with ACS Contributions, so you can upload funds for online giving and link transaction and donor information.
Setting up Abundant
You can sign up for Abundant through the Grow Your Ministry option on the ACS Main Menu.
When setting up Abundant, you'll sync fund codes, create administrative and merchant accounts, and set up giving options for your church or organization.
Before donors can give to a fund using Abundant, you must send the fund to Abundant in Add/Edit Fund Codes. You can do this when adding a fund code, or, if the fund already exists in Contributions, you can edit it to display it in Abundant.
If you'd like to send multiple fund codes to Abundant for online giving, you can do this in the Add/Edit Funds Codes window.
Importing Gifts from Abundant
After donors give online using Abundant, you must import those gifts into ACS and match them to individual and organization records.
When you import transactions, Unmatched Records displays contributions from donors who gave inside Abundant for the first time or don't have records inside ACS. You can match records to individuals or organizations inside Contributions, or create a new record for those giving for the first time.
After you match the Abundant and ACS records, the donor's contributions display under Matched Records. The next time you import, these records are automatically matched, and you can manage gifts on the individual or organization profile. If there's a mistake, you can reassign or unmatch records as well.
Once you match all records, you can import the transactions and post them to Contributions and General Ledger.
Managing a Donor's Abundant Gifts
The individual or organization's record opens in Abundant, where you can enter gifts or update the donor's account, giving history, scheduled gifts, and payment methods.
Abundant's sleek, user-friendly design will help you grow online giving, and we think your donors will love it. To launch Abundant at any time, in Contributions Setup, click Launch Abundant .
Growing Your Ministry
In our new Grow your Ministry area, you'll see ways to implement giving strategies, protect children with background checks, electronically file tax forms, and view information about our annual conference. You can read more about these solutions or sign up for them.
To accommodate the new area, we've moved the Online Resources area to the Help menu. You'll still see familiar links to the client portal, training, support, and checking for program or tax updates.
This release contains several updates for People Suite.
Canadian Receipt URL Changes
To comply with the Canadian Revenue Agency's changes, the agency's name and website address now display at the bottom of the Canadian tax receipts.
Ministry Insights Post Year
In Ministry Insights, we've replaced the Year of Gift Date field with the Year of Post Date. The updated wording displays on the Giving Dashboard and all reports.
We've updated all tax forms to reflect the government's 2019 standards, so your forms will print correctly and contain all necessary information for filing.
This release offers Payroll tax changes for Illinois, Maryland, and New Jersey.
We fixed the following issues that affected some of our customers:
- When printing the Bank Reconciliation report, the cleared and uncleared deposit withdrawal list didn't match the total of deposits and withdrawals on the last page of the report. We've renamed the Withdrawals and Deposits headers on that page to Debits and Credits.
- If a transaction was voided, it didn't display correctly in General Ledger Project Reports.
- When previewing the Chart of Accounts - Detail report, committees didn't display unless you selected an account.
We fixed the following issue that affected some of our customers:
- When a fund code contained a letter, it didn't print on a Report Designer report.
