The Extend Platform is a content management system (CMS). A CMS separates your content from the presentation of your Web site. It also lets multiple individuals contribute to your Web site while giving site administrators control over the content on your site.
With a CMS, you can make global updates to your content. When you edit a piece of content, you do not need to update the content on each page that displays it. You can edit the article once, and Extend displays the updated content in each location where the article is published.
When users update content, Extend saves the previous versions. If the most recent version of a content item is incorrect, you can revert to an old version. For more information, see Promoting Older Versions of Articles.
