Title Definitions

You can use abbreviations for name titles to save time when entering data. For example, the abbreviation M/M can represent "Mr. & Mrs". If abbreviations are similar or identical – such as Sr. for "Sister" and Sr. for "Senior" – enter both items in the Title Definitions table.

To add or edit title definitions, on the File menu, click Setup > Title Definitions. For more on these fields, see the Additional Field Information below.

Address Abbreviations

You can use abbreviations for addresses to save time when entering data. For example, the abbreviation St can represent "Street".

To add or edit address abbreviations, on the File menu, click Setup > Address Abbreviations. For more on these fields, see the Additional Field Information below.

Note

Changing a title or address abbreviation after it has been used doesn't automatically update any addresses already using it.

Reorder
To save time, you can move more frequently used titles/abbreviations to the beginning of the list. To reorder the list numerically and then alphabetically, click Reorder and click Sort.

Restore Default Values
Return to the original list of titles/abbreviations installed with the program. Any changes or additions you made to the list are removed.

Print List
We suggest that you provide a copy of this list to all those entering data to use as a quick reference.
