Akin to the main City admin panel, the children's ministry admin panel serves as the administrative controller for much of the children's ministry module. Anyone who can access this panel will see the same thing, because the only people who can access it are leaders and managers in the appropriate check-in group.

As the administrator navigates through the tools, the content in the center panel changes, but the navigation options around the outside of the page always remain the same, to ensure that you can always access the information and tools. To better understand the panel, here are the tools at your disposal.

Children's Ministry Administration

1. Event options: Some aspects of this admin panel reflect and affect the children's ministry as a whole, while others are aimed specifically at a single check-in event. To gather information on a particular event in progress, select its item from the left column. Choose either the Groups or Resources sub-item to view either who has been checked in or how close the rooms are to their capacities.

2. Communicate: Click this option from any page in the children's ministry admin panel to view, edit, or send your end-of-day communication.

3. Other Tools: In the bottom of the left navigation menu are three additional features designed to serve supplementary roles in your day-to-day administration. Use the All Groups option to view your complete list of children; the Settings option to set classroom assignments, toggle printer settings, and choose a parent-alert method; and the Scan Barcode item to look up a person's information by barcode.

4. People Search: Use this tool when you need to find information on a child or parent in your ministry. Enter the name in the search field and select them from the list of results.

5. Date Selector: Especially when you've got the same event names week in and week out, it's important to keep track of the event date you're working in. You can use the arrows beside the date in the upper right to shuffle back and forth between past, current, and future dates of the same event. Each date gets its own administrative panel.

Things to Remember

  • Because you must select a campus when logging in to the admin panel, it can only be used to administer that campus. You have to log out and go back through the login process again to select a different campus.
  • You can change to the main City or any of the children's ministry kiosk modes by hovering over the Practice Admin link in the power bar and selecting one of them from the drop-down menu of options.
