Creating a need is a cross between creating a topic and an event.

 

 To create a new need
  1. In the left navigation menu, click News.
  2. Click Start a New Post, and then click Need.
  3. Click Select a Group and select the group name from the drop-down list.
  4. Enter a title.
  5. Enter information about your need.
  6. Apply any desired options:
    1. Use the text formatting tools to make your message look the way you want.
    2. Click + add a tasks or item to list any items and responsibilities.
    3. Click + change the location to assign a custom address for the need. If you don't add one, the post will use the group's default address.
    4. Select Publicize on The City Plaza to choose Plaza options.
    5. Attach a file to your post.
      1. Click Advanced Options.
      2. Click + Add a File.
      3. Click Choose File to browse for what you want.
      4. Repeat this process to add more files.
  7. Click Post This!.

Remember that you can turn a need into a service opportunity if you create it in a service group.
