Funds is where financial administrators go to create, edit, and delete funds. To sort out your list of funds, the page is broken into two tabs: Active and Inactive.

In The City, a fund represents a specific bank account, cause, or purpose to which donors can contribute financially. These are primarily accessible to financial administrators, who have various abilities, including creating new funds, editing funds, running different reports, and entering member donations to specific funds. However, basic users also interact with funds from time to time: selecting which they want to contribute to when giving online through CityPay.

Things to Remember

  • The fund is perhaps the most important part of the giving module because none of the other features can function without a fund being in place.
  • A fund cannot be deleted as long as there are donations associated with it. You must first move all donations to another fund.
