Name & Info: On this tab, you can set the name of your group, create a group nickname for the Plaza, provide a description for people looking at your Group Info page, create a message template for group invitations, and determine the ideal size of your group.
Address: Add the address of your group, along with its privacy setting. Click + Add an address to add as many additional locations as you like. The first on the list always displays on the Group Info page. Others display as options for event locations. If you give them Location Names, it makes them easier to sort through.
Options: Use this tab to define a few aspects of how your group works.
- By selecting any of the This-group-doesn't-use… check boxes, you can remove a specific type of post from the group's posting options.
- You can clear any of the Let-anyone-in-the-group-create… check boxes to restrict participants and volunteers from starting those types of posts.
- Select the check box beside Automatically approve join requests to accept anyone wanting to join the group, without having to approve a request. When they click Join-Group on the Group Info page, they're instantly added.
Tags: Set group tags to help users search for groups pertinent to them on the group-search map. To help people find your group, select the check boxes beside those tags that reflect your group. When people search for groups with those tags, you are on the list.
Linked Groups: This tab displays everything you need to manage sharing with linked and auto-approved groups. This includes the groups your group currently has a linked relationship with, as well as link requests you're waiting to approve or get approval for.
Promotions: On this tab, you can create, manage, and remove promotions.
