HeadMaster normally calculates grades (weighted or unweighted) on the transcript using the Average Terms method. If selected, HeadMaster adds each term’s overall grade average and divides by the number of terms. If you want transcripts calculated using this method, because this is the default method used by HeadMaster, you don't need to make any changes to the permanent record options.
If permanent records are converted or transfer classes are brought in with blank averages, but they've been assigned a letter grade and/or a GPA, you can now fill in the averages using the Fill Blank Averages mass changes option. See Fill Blank Grade Averages to learn more.
Alternatively, you can select to calculate grades using the Average Classes method. HeadMaster adds the class grades taken for each term and divides by the number of grades to obtain the overall average or GPA (unweighted). If you want transcripts calculated using this method, you must change Permanent Record Options.
