Group Leaders and Staff Members

These features are only available to Connect and Multiply customers. For more information, see Inform-Connect-Multiply.

Step-By-Step

Membership

 

 To view your groups
  1. Log into the site.
  2. Click your name, and select My Profile.
  3. Click the Groups tab. The groups you are a member of display on the page.
 To see who's in your groups
  1. Log into the site.
  2. Click your name, and select My Profile.
  3. Click your Groups tab, and click the name of a group.
  4. Click the Participants tab.
  5. Click View Map to map their addresses. Click View Roster to return the the participants list.
 To search for a specific group member
  1. Log into the site.
  2. Click your name, and select My Profile.
  3. Click your Groups tab, and click the name of a group.
  4. Click the Participants tab.
  5. Click , and start typing (at least two letters) the name of the member you want. As you type, the roster filters to match what you have entered.
 To view past participants in your group
  1. Log into the site.
  2. Click your name, and select My Profile.
  3. Click your Groups tab, and click the name of a group.
  4. Click the Participants tab.
  5. Click Current Participants, then click Past Participants. The roster will update and display a list of past participants from the group.

Deleted Participants

A group participant will not appear in this list if, when he or she was removed from the group, the option to retain history wasn't selected.

Events

 

 To view your group's events
  1. Log into the site.
  2. Click your name, and select My Profile.
  3. On your Groups tab, click the name of a group you belong to.
  4. The Events tab lists important upcoming dates for your group. To see prior events, click Upcoming Events, then click Past Events.

Communication

 

 To send an email to members of your group
  1. Log into the site.
  2. Click your name, and select My Profile.
  3. Click your Groups tab, and click the name of a group.
  4. Click Send Email.
  5. Enter a Subject and Message. See Additional Field Information, below, for more.
  6. Click Send.

 

Additional Field Information

Everyone
Selected by default, this check box indicates that all members of the group who have supplied email addresses will receive your message. To manually select which members should receive the message, clear the check box and select your recipients.

Add a file
Click to add attachments such as photos or documents to your email. Each file can only be a maximum of 5MB; the total size of all the attachments in the email cannot exceed 10MB.

Due to a known Safari limitation, you can only attach photos and videos using this browser on an iPad.

You can attach the following file types:

Who receives emails?

Group Leaders

As a group leader, you are automatically copied on and emailed when you send an email to your group.

Parents and Children

If you have a group that contains children, when a group email is sent the parent's and the children will both receive the email. If the parent and child share an email address, only one email will be sent.

Individuals Without Email Addresses

Not everyone has an email address or feels comfortable providing one for a church to use. Don’t fret though, you can still get all the information you need to contact these individuals.

After you send an email, you are told the number of group participants who received it and the number of group participants (and their parents) who did not. You can then have this list sent to you or immediately download it through your browser. The spreadsheet contains each individual's contact information.

Current Participants and Past Participants

You can only email individuals in the current roster. Past participants in the group cannot be emailed using Send Email.

 To post a group wall message
  1. Log into the site.
  2. Click your name, and select My Profile.
  3. Click your Groups tab, and click the name of a group.
  4. On the Posts tab, click Post Something.
  5. If you belong to multiple groups, select the check box next those you want to message.
  6. Click Post. Your message will be visible to the members of the group(s) you selected. Administrators and staff members who are not actual members of the group will not be able to see your post.

Click Comment to enter your response to other peoples' posts.

To delete a comment you posted, move your cursor to the area, and click the x that appears.

 To edit a group wall message
  1. Log into the site.
  2. Click your name, and select My Profile.
  3. Click your Groups tab, and click the name of a group.
  4. On the Posts tab, locate the wall message you want to edit, then click .
  5. Make your edits, then press Enter.
  6. The wall message is now edited.

Note

Only the person who wrote the group wall message can edit it. Other individuals, admin or staff included, cannot edit other individuals group wall posts.

 To receive or stop receiving emails about your group's posts
  1. Sign into the website.
  2. Click your name, and select Manage Account & Settings.
  3. Click the Notifications tab.
  4. Change your settings as needed.
  5. Click Save.

Growth

 

 To invite new members to your group
  1. Log into the site.
  2. Click your name, and select My Profile.
  3. Click your Groups tab.
  4. Click the group's name.
  5. On the group's main page, click , and select Invite Someone New.
  6. Enter recipients using the To and/or Invite Others fields.
  7. Compose your message.
  8. Click Send.
Additional Field Information

To
Use this field for recipients who have accounts with your church's website. Enter the first few letters of someone's name and a list of choices drops down. When you select a name, it displays in the field beneath, and you can select others. To delete a name, click the X next to it.

Invite Others
Use this field for recipients who do not have accounts with your church's website, for example danafton@googlemail.com.

Sharing

 

 To download files shared by your group leader
  1. Log into the site.
  2. Click your name, and select My Profile.
  3. Click your Groups tab, and click the name of a group.
  4. Click the Resources tab.
  5. If your group leader has shared files or links, they will appear in the list. Click one to download or open it.

Background

When you join a group, you can visit the website to see details about it, its members, and upcoming events.
