ACS Technologies was recently made aware of significant changes in email security policies instituted by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). These issues are a direct result of major email providers such as Yahoo, Google, AOL, and Earthlink quickly complying with new DMARC security policies instituted by IETF.
As a result of these new policies, we have updated the email options in OnDemand for ACS and PDS. Updates to HeadMaster are coming soon.
In ACS, when you send e-mails from the People or Financial Suite, you will notice a few changes. Previously, you would enter the Server SMTP setting of 10.99.1.41 for OnDemand. Now, this information is built into the program. By default, the option to use the OnDemand E-mail Server is selected when sending an e-mail.
E-mails sent from OnDemand will come from email@example.com. However, what you enter in the Name field displays to your recipients.
You will also enter a Reply To e-mail address that your recipients can use to send a response. The Reply To field is required and must be populated with an e-mail address.
Sending Individual E-mails
When sending an e-mail through an individual's record, you must select the Use SMTP option.
